Camping at Lake Glenbawn, Scone, NSW

From 31 Dec 09 to 3 Jan 2010; we went for a camping trip to Lake Glenbawn, Scone. It rained pretty much the whole time, but our gear held up well keeping us mostly dry. The trip was marred by a few idiots behaving like red-necks on NYE; but otherwise, we had a peaceful time enjoying each others company. Being a state park, there was loads of wild life - from tiny birds, parrakets, galahs, and grey kangaroos. Vincent took a great picture of a big grey about to cross the road, and Brennan took a photo of the same one crossing the road (from the other side of the roo).

We also enjoyed a tour of Arrowfield Stud. Highlights for me was seeing all the boys out in their paddocks, plus a few yearlings. The boys loved the tractor shed (our tour guide said it was the first time that she'd been asked to show off the tractors!). They missed out on a ride in one as it was too wet in the paddocks, but they got free hats instead!

All in all, the trip was a success; and we've added a few things to our packing list for next time.
